Anticipation, is making me wait!🎼

Sitting here at home, while my girl is down South working. Tending to the housework and
business around town… Wednesday I’ll run several miles away to conclude our purchase of our 2006 Winnie Sightseer and let the couple start their retirement in Texas. Friday or Saturday we’ll go back over and I’ll drive her home.
Excited…, oh yes. We have done this before for about 3 years out of necessity when our home burnt to the ground. Did it in a Fifth Wheel, in a few acres of Illinois woods where Gen and I built our home from scratch. That in itself was quite an adventure and believe it or not…, I had the same feeling I did when I was a kid when dad broke camp on Sunday after the fun of weekend camping.
Even after 3 years in the camper, I’d look out the window of our house with longing and nostalgia looking at our camper sitting so lonely out there.
Serious health issues with myself ended in us selling our home we’d built out in the woods to purchase a home in Paris that I might be closer to medical help if needed and my wife would not have to worry. That ended my 30 year nursing career yet she continues. She planned on retiring this next year but God, as is often the case, had other ideas. Now she is working a corporate position as clinical and administrative regional for several homes…, for less money. It truly is a labor of love as she strives to make those workplaces places of family…, residents and their families and the staff.
So here we go again…., I’ll park our Winnie at a nearby camp and she won’t have far to drive to get home. Rosie, Russ and Frankie will come along and we will walk the trails together while she is gone, keep the camp clean, laundry done up and food under the awning when she gets home in the evening. Home base will still be waiting when her duties carry us back that way and I’ll tend to those things which must be considered when back at the house.
Rosie and Russ grew up in the fifth wheel camper so they will e right at home…, Frankie I’m sure will adjust.
I expect an adventure in the living out of what we are about to embark on. I remember the things I thought were terrible at the time…, now with a smile on my face and the confidence in my heart that it’ll be ok. Like the time we came home from work and I had a 6 inch diameter 10 ft tree limb through the roof hanging down about 3 foot into the shower….😏. First…, it was in the shower and the rain drained very well. Second, my misguided purchase of a case of spray foam for a skirting idea that I abandoned as not likely to succeed was waiting to fill the void, and my previous fiberglass experience made it all good as new. Thankfulness for all things.
I expect to use this site to my advantage and maybe even to others advantage as I ask and share the knowledge that I have and will gain as we go along this path of life.
I saw on here…., “blog” and I thought to myself…, “self…, here’s your opportunity.”
