winter camping

AS a Canadian I'm sure happy I still have a house. Parked my RV for the season yesterday. Returning from Edmonton. Camped at Glowing Embers.
While there saw a good number of people buliding skirting, insulating slide out's. One-fifth wheeler. Had almost all his unit covered with silver backed commercial insulating. With the Canada / United States border closed. All of the southern BC. spots taken. People are simply hunkering down where ever they find a year-round camp ground. I think if I had a female partner. Would my wife still be healthy. This could be almost fun. The people iv'e meet in that campground, are very friendly. Not shy at all about inviting me to supper and a fire etc. Once they notice I'm alone with my dog Bare... I'm almost certain there going to develop a comunity and hold events through out the winter. One couple have been living in there fithwheel trailor for seven years he told me. Has never froze up due to proper line insulation and doing things a little differnt. When the thermomather dips to -30 or so with a north west wind. God only knows what the wind chill would be. I'd guess -45 to-50. .... I would like to try it once. With a newer RV. my old 2004 doesn't have very thick walls. Id have to gift wrap the whole thing. So to all you Canucks... I wisper a prayer for you that you may all fair very well. My wife is very ill and in a care home in Edmonton. I try to go at least once a month. I'll be driving over to the camp ground. I'm interested in your adventure
