Anacortes, WA - Start of the Cascade Loop

Here's a trip report from our recent visit to three stops on the Cascade Loop. We go from the Puget Sound to a German village to the top of Mount Baker. We hope you enjoy the post!

You guys always do the best trip reports; well done!
Just in case you are planning to visit the Oregon Coast (perhaps starting in South Bend?) be sure to tour heading southbound on US 101. This is because most of the scenic viewpoints are only accessible for southbound traffic, and then everything is a right-hand turn, both off of and then back onto the highway.
Thanks, Eagle5

Thanks, Eagle5! Also appreciate the tip. Going South down 101 sounds like a good plan. Maybe in 2020!

Looks like we will be in Anacortes again this August, and returning home via 101, taking Eagle5’s advice. Recommendations for the trip down are appreciated!
