Fall in Asheville
The only RV Park I know of in Asheville is Bear Creek the group I belonged to camped there once and everyone seemed to like it. lived in a small town called Waynesville about 35 miles west of Asheville. There are several RV Parks in the area. Creekwood Farm is a good one. Also, I kept my TT at a park in Maggie Valley for 4 years at a park called Stonebridge. It has changed hands a couple of times. I camped there in May 2015 and they were making some improvements such as adding DirecTv. Waynesville is a very nice small town with shopping and restaraunts, very close to the Smokey Mountain National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the town of Cherokee. We spent much time during the fall "leaf peeping" and sight seeing. You can easily access the north end of the GSMNP where they have introduced Elk back into the park. There are also a couple of campgrounds in the park but reservations there are a must. I must warn you that the best fall leaf color can be tempermental as to the "prime season" so keeping up on when the colors are supposed to peak is a good iidea.
Asheville is great, lots to do and don't miss the Biltmore.
