Dirt roads and other areas in a Vista 29VE

Hey Everyone,

I was a class C owner for 15 years. Recently upgraded to Winnebago Vista 29VE. My class C was 30 feet long which is the same length as my new Vista. I took that thing everywhere. I never let it stop me from going anywhere I wanted. Cities, back roads, Bear Tooth Pass etc. I four wheeled with that thing and took it to Burning Man three times. Just watched the Movie RV again and could do nothing but laugh when I saw him climb that mountain. That was me LOL.

I am guessing I might need to chill a bit with this one.

Just looking to see if anyone has taken the Vista to some extreme places and how far can I push a vehicle like this?

Thanks for your help.

I will take by your silence that no one here has pushed their RV to extremes?

The Class A's center of gravity is quite a bit higher than a Class C's. That's why there is all that basement space down below. Also, the Class C is built on a large pickup (F350/F450} chassis - the Class A on a delivery van / dump truck chassis.

We do our best to stay away from uneven terrain and dirt roads.

Off topic a bit because we don't have a Winnebago Vista, but here are a few photos of us boondock camping and remote roads we have explored in our 24 ft. Winnebago Itasca Class C built on a Ford E450 chassis:

We took our Sunstar 26HE on Pismo Beach. Probably not extreme, but a great time.

I drove through Raton Pass (New Mexico / Colorado) with no issues. We boon docked on an inactive volcano but on a paved surface.

Can I ask you what drove you to purchase the 29VE? We started to buy a C class but as we got more serious, the 29VE was the perfect all around RV for us. I use the Tow Haul button to simulate 4 wheel driving

Yes We bought our RV in Port St. Lucie Florida and chose to drive through Atlanta back to Dallas. The roads and construction in Atlanta was just as bad as any mountain terrain I have been on. That is why the Safe T Plus Stabilizer is based out of Atlanta
