Finally! Heading to the mountains...

Escaping the craziness of the world and heading to the Georgia/NC mountains. Trying to make reservations ahead is quite a challenge. Seems everyone has the same idea and I can’t blame them! We use our MH a lot, but it’s sat since March...I’m a little rusty on getting it loaded...there’s always a Walmart around..right?
My intent was to ask how many of you have decided to hit the road, but after researching places we want to go and can’t get in, I’m thinking a lot of you have the travel bug!
Safe travels everyone...

Both California and New Mexico still have their State Parks closed for camping and Colorado State Parks require camping reservations so those of us who live in Arizona find our camping choices limited.

May of our favorite campgrounds for the summer are either closed, fully booked or require us to plan our trip ahead, something we don't like to do. We try to camp, stay someplace as long as we are comfortable and then decide where to go next. We can't do that nearby except in Arizona itself and here the campgrounds are pretty full.

Boondocking The Ultimate In Social Distancing

We spent 3 weeks in May Boondocking outside of Flagstaff, AZ. Our closest neighbor over Memorial Day weekend was probably 200 yards away. We leave tomorrow to boondock near the Grand Canyon for 3 weeks. We will be heading to eastern Arizona to boondock at about 8000 feet for 3 weeks in July. August and September are suppose to be at the beaches in California. We where canceled in May so we will see what happens. If we are cancelled we are going to head to the Oregon coast.
