'03 Cheiftain 39T roof leak repair ?

I tried the search function, saw a lot about maintenance, but I missed leak repairs I guess.
Our 39 T has a leak, spot inside about 2 foot back, near center, Appears to be right around the satellite dome area. Does not appear to be from the front cap or windshield the way the spot is. It has been patched and or etrnabond taped prior in spots. It's old, worn, needs attention. For now, I just need to stop the leak, is it likely where the bolts hold the satellite bracket to the roof?

I think I will take the satellite off and look, and either use eternabond liquid or tape. Or should I use something else until I can get the roof checked, sealed or whatever need be?

Has anyone had theirs leak from those mounting brackets or the cable inlet?

Also, if we upgraded the satellite to a current model, what do you recomemend for up there? I want automatic, but don't care if it is usable while driving to search. We use Directv fyi, or park cable or over the air antenna service.
