2003 Spirit Slide out spindle removal

I hope to get some ideas, I have a 2003 Spirit and the slide out got jammed, spindle came out of the nut. Long story short, the whole ram is now removed, I try to remove the spindle but can't get the gear off in the drive box. Is the gear heat shrunk on the

shaft? How to get it off?

The gear needs to come off in order to slide the whole spindle out of the ram and inspect the nut assembly.
