Above counter oven

2005 Vectra with over the counter Advantium 120 oven by GE. While baking it stopped in middle of baking cycle. Checked all brakers and all seem to be good. I can not see or find a reset on oven. I need help on how to remove from wall and check. This is a combo, microwave convection oven.

Did you check the wall outlet the microwave plugs into with a voltmeter or a lamp or something else to verify it has power? Ours is in in the cabinet above the oven. We recently were on a trip and overloaded our circuits and it turned out to be the button circuit breaker on the inverter in the outside compartment.

Good luck!

Ben

According to the Body, 110 Volt Wiring Diagram for your coach the outlet the microwave plugs into is fed by from the rightmost 15A breaker in the inverter sub-panel. The Body, 110 Volt Wiring Installation diagram shows that that outlet is behind and to the left side of the microwave. I don't have any experience in removing the Advantium. I thought I remembered a posting in the past regarding that, but I haven't found it yet in a forum search.

When checking the breaker you should turn it off and then back on--a tripped breaker may look like it's on when in fact it's not.

May be a GFI plug outlet tripped.

Were you on or off genny or shore power? If off, have you checked the Dimensions converter? Did its 120v output breaker trip? There is a small breaker right on the converter (down in the electric bay). Our microwave pushed the limits of that Dimensions unit ... it would not surprise me if you just popped that breaker. The 12vdc will still run if the converter's 120vac breaker was tripped, so lights will still be working. Of course, all of the other 120v outlets would be dead, too. I never liked that setup (but that's why I changed it). Let us know what you find out! I'm curious, \ken

Take a look at this thread over on rvforum.net: Replacing GE Advantium Microwave in Horizon 40AD. (Note that you may have to join the forum to see pictures--but it's free.)

The Micro/convection has a very well hidden ceramic fuse inside. You have to remove the trim and control buttons panel and you may see the fuse. Unplug the unit first and don't touch anything; you'll see the fuse holder. Unclip and head to an appliance store, I think $4. I always carry an extra spare.

Usually for both TVs and Microwaves that are mounted the plug is in a compartment or cabinet NEXT to the appliance,, In my case it is the cupboard to the left of my Microwave.. You might look there, high up on the side wall.

Most Microwaves have an internal fuse.. I will assume your combo is like this. That fuse can blow.. There are other easily fixed issues as well IF YOU HAVE THE SKILLS. I have repaired a few microwaves. But than somewhere is a piece o paper that says I know how to do that .

We had the duplex outlet burn out on our '05 Vectra. I replaced it with a standard house type and put in a shallow box.

If you resize your pictures to about 1000pixels they should post.
