Awning won't open

I have 2017 2455BHS 24' travel trailer...It is currently on shore power...checked the fuses, power light illuminates but when I press "awning out"---nothing happens. HELP!!!

I know when I had and electric awning the switch was of the rocker type. Push one way the awning would go out and the other the awning would go in. A couple times when the awning was out and I wanted it in I pushed the wrong side of the switch, the awning did roll itself to go in even though I was pushing the out side of the switch. What I am saying does anything happen when you push the in side of the switch.

Check to see if there is an awning control module (small box about 3X3 buried in the wiring - perhaps near the front door). There may be a small fuse (~ 5 amp) in a slot sometimes on the bottom.

Sometimes, there is too much resistance to having the awning fold out because of rust or debris. You may have to pull on it a bit while pressing the awning out button

I would say it's not likely but more a case of pushing enough buttons until something worked! On my Rv, I will say the awning button and the battery disconnect are very close to a GFCI and it might be that several buttons were pushed randomly until the right combo was met. But they are happy, so I'm happy, too.
I've done worse! My wife and I have kind of come to an agreement for when we are confused about things that don't work. When one is pushing buttons, the other waits until the first has finished before they touch it!

Not getting a full story on this! Are you saying they installed a new awning and when showing you, it would not work?
That sounds really nice!

Assuming you left them to figure it out?
