Diamond Plate for cabover

I’m rebuilding a cabover on a class C. What are your thoughts or opinions of using diamond plate over the existing filon?

Not real sure as to where you want to use the diamond plate. That plate is very strong but also carries a heavy weight.

Likely some reason driving the idea? Things like having it on hand and tools to work it, can make a difference. For me and limited tools and supply, it would not be a thing to consider as too hard to work and too expensive to buy.
So my first thought is no way but others are in different situations where working the metal is going to be different. How much and how far may change the ride of the RV??
