Door lock (replacing for electronic) 1999 Adventurer 35C

I want to replace my door lock for an electronic one. But everything I read says fits 3" wide and 3.75" tall.

My 1999 is roughly 5.75 inches wide.... Any options out there? I guess I could just patch the door?

Second question, I tried to put my handle back together - but for the life of me can't figure out how to line up this little pin with the latch in the inside - which will open the latch gears to open the door...
