Easy Fix For a Painful Problem

Howdy,

Finally fixed the factory installed flesh rippers.

Knocked off all the corners and put some plastic caps on the bolts that I had laying around from an old wire rack system shelving project. The caps are to cover the cut off ends of the wire shelving and fit the bolts perfectly. Should have done this three years ago, but sometimes I'm a slow learner.

Horded junk stash comes through again

I’m winterizing this weekend but that just moved up to the top of my spring list. I’ve left more hand flesh on those things then I want to admit.

Well done!!!!!!!!!!

There is a place called *Marshalls* in San Diego, off of Mira Mar Rd, that has a zillion of those plastic/vinyl end caps. They range in size from about 1/16th, to about 1 1/2". And they come in a zillion colors. I don't know if there's any stores like that anywhere near any of you but, it's the only place I've ever seen a massive supply of those type plastic/vinyl caps. That Marshalls store is like a Home Depot or Lowes, but ON STEROIDS. The wife get's hideously bored while gaze for hours up and down all the isles.

P.S. On Edit:
Just found these on Amazon.

Our local Ace hardware has them too, they call them bolt thread protectors. I just happened to have those ones laying around. They’re probably a pretty common item.

They are sold for wire shelving ends at the big box stores. HD carries two different sizes.
