Was on the Winnie Chat last night and described my problem with my right turn signals (front and rear) not working, along with the indicator light on the dash. I checked the fuses - OK. I could also hear the flasher in the rear electrical compartment. Checked for any obvious loose wires under the steering column. I had the chance to hook up the toad, and while the coach right turn signal did not work, the toad right signal did work!

So took it to FL today and they found a corroded/loose pin on the FL side of the connector coming from the steering column and joining with a Winnie wiring harness. They hypothesized that it may have corroded while sitting as a bare chassis waiting for a coach body.

Replaced pin under warranty. Everything works.

Don, good to know you've got a Freightliner dealer near you that can fix stuff properly.

Don Glad to hear the problem is fixed. Wondering if you know how long it took to find the culprit connection. That type of thing can be time consuming

depchief,

I dropped the coach off about 8:30am, and called about 2:30pm. They had found the problem by then. The tech started wiggling wires under the steering column and I think they were on it almost immediately. Interesting. I did give them a head start relative to checking fuses, flasher, etc.

RKL -- The new FL dealer in Rochester is Tracey Equipment. They were originally in Syracuse, and when the old FL dealer went out of business in Rochester, they expanded to Roc last year.

I can tell you only bad stories about the old FL dealer here in Rochester. I have now had 2 dealings with Tracey, and I can only tell you about GOOD dealings with them.

For instance, when calling the old FL dealer for an appointment, I learned the appointment was to 'drop the coach off, not necessarily work on it'. They in fact told me in so many words that they did not like working on motorhomes. The new dealer -- Tracey Equipment -- when I call them for an appointment, they work on the coach the same day. In this case, I dropped the coach off at 8:30am, and picked it up that evening!!!! They went to the trouble to put plastic down on the steps and floor into the cab area.

I have only good things to say about our new Rochester FL dealer (and only bad things to say about the old one).
