HWH Slide Hydraulic Unit Access

My HWH hydraulic unit is mounted inside the hood of my 2002 Itasca Suncruiser 35U. It's right up front but down pretty low and I was wondering if access can be improved by removing the grill below the hood door. If it's simple to remove, I'll remove it, but if it's complicated I won't try. I'd like to improve my access so I can top off the fluid without spilling it all over the place.

Comments? Alternatives?

I'm interested in what others have to say about removing the grill too.
I've contemplated that a bunch of times.
What I use to top the hydraulic tank is a long tube type of funnel.
Transmission funnel is the proper name for it methinks.
It does help if you have a bench about 18" high or so to stand on.
And you can scratch knees without bending over!

Stan, I'm glad I'm not the only one wondering about this. Part of my hesitancy is that, every time I remove something from a vehicle that involves plastic tabs, I seem to break something.
