Installed my new Trik-L-Start!!

Hi All
I Just received and installed my new trik-l- start. I used the supplied Clamps and clipped Yellow wire to House batt positive terminal and blue wire to Chassis batt positive terminal and black wire to Chassis Negative terminal to test things out. After 2 weeks sitting and plugged in to 50 amp shore power, chassis battery now stays charged at 1/2 volt lower than the dual 6 volt Coach batteries. Woo! hoo! I have the unit screwed onto one of the bulkheads in the battery box area under my step. will this suffice or should I "permanently install the wires as the instructions say to? I don't see where/what to attach them to? Any one out there with an adventurer 38T do this install and "permanently" wire? Please tell me how/where
Thanks
Milo

Looking at the wiring diagrams for you coach I would be inclined to install it inside the Chassis Electrical Box Assembly similarly to the way Winnebago recommends for the diesel pushers in 2006-04 Trik-L-Start - .

Yes, just use the ring terminals and attach it on each side of the battery isolation solenoid and to a ground screw.

I temporarily installed my trik-l-start to see how it worked four years ago. It is still temporarily installed and working like it did on day one. I say as long as the alligator clips are making good contact I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks all for the responses! I think that drawing refers to under the top step landing behind the battery compartment behind the breaker switches not in the electrical Bay?

Yes, I believe that's where the 'Chassis Electrical Box Assembly' is.
