Jack Pads Bowl Shaped 2014 Itasca Meridian 34B

Has anyone else had to replace your leveling system jackpads because they are bent?

The ones on our Itasca Meridian look like cereal bowls.

I have found replacements, at $60 apiece. I am still trying to wrap my head around how they could have all gotten bent upwards. The only thing I can figure out is the previous owners must have put the pads down in something like soft gravel, A LOT!

I might suggest that it can be a progressive thing, rather than a one time? If you camp in rocky country, it is not unusual for a jack to come down on the edge of a rock and that spot bends upward. Do it enough times on different edges and they get a bowl shape?

Depending on how many times they may have been bent back down, it "may" work to just straighten them a bit. A giant C clamp and a 4X4 worked for me!
Bent too far and too many times, they stress crack and then you do get to replace them!

I guess hitting enough rocks would cause it. These are bad enough replacements are the best option.

Varying bends, but definitely bowl shaped. I have another smaller RV and those are flat.

Ya, I can do that. The ground is sopping wet at the moment. However, I will be working on it a bit tomorrow and see what I can do. I have plywood pads under the jack pads to keep it from sinking too deep on the wet ground.

I''ve never seen a flat-plate jack pad, MIne (HWH) all have a up-turned rim around them like your picture, with a welded on bracket to attach the return spring.
Yours in the picture aren't replaceable anyway, they are welded to the jack-shaft rod.

What you posted in your photo is normal. I believe the shape with the slight curve around the outer edges is engineering to make them stronger for a given amount of metal being used.

I am in agreement with the group, if you want a flatter wider base you could put some snap pads on them

And snap pads will allow you to get rid of that plywood

Nope, they are replaceable. Big Bolt is right in the bottom of the ram.

This is what the replacement looks like.

What you have on the Itasca are the right ones , the flat one are the correct ones for your trailer .

YUP! Got to agree that is not bent, just made that way.
I would not work to change those.
What I have had is the square plate that has the corners bent up at a 45 from landing on a rock while the rest went on down! Think of pushing them down on a lake edge with 6 inch cobbles/rocks under the edges!

I might call those nearly new!
