Kitchen faucet repair - help needed - pics
Hi all, our kitchen faucet started a slow drip on our last trip. I'm just getting around to it and I have the handle off. I believe the faucet is Moen (or similar) and the only identifier I can find is a UPC number.
I'm betting the ceramic valve is leaking and Moen might even stand behind it, but I can't figure out how to get the valve out. All of the videos I've watched have had a brass collar holding it in and this one doesn't. It does have a serrated edge all the way around but it's plastic and I didn't want to just throw pliers on it.
Has anyone replaced one like this or have suggestions. I'll call Moen next week but the last time I dealt with them, they did replace the part but no help with disassembly.
Thanks

I’ve got the same one in my Vista. I pulled the part number from my build sheet hoping to match it up for you but no luck so far, I’ll keep googling. If it helps, the part # from Winnie is 185364-01-01A.

We have what appears to be the same on our sink at home.
IF it is the same, we can verify it is a Moen model 87014SRS faucet as we have the paper from the install.

We don't have any info on repair, though. One thing to look for might be to look carefully inside the ring for some small indent where you might stick the points of a long nose in to turn is a bitt tighter???
If that is not the deal on this faucet, one of the rubber strap wrenches can come in handy to grip things that I don't want to mark.

OP here. After more research, it appears that it may be a Glacier Bay faucet with this, or similar, cartridge. https://www.homedepot.com/p/DANCO-Ca...B&gclsrc=aw.ds
Still no luck with removal. I'm going to back to the RV and see if I can get better pics and a closer look at how it might come out.
Stay tuned.

Quite possible two faucets with exact outside can be sold under two different names but the small internal parts may be different. After posting last night, I did spot that may faucet has a very obvious MOEN label just above the plate on the center upright. If you can't see any sign of that, it may be the Glacier Bay as a slightly cheaper version with the plastic type cartridge.
Which may bring up a point on swapping out the cartridge if needed. Would a higher quality Moen cartridge fit the Glacier Bay faucet to let you get more use next time?
If you can get the bonnet off without messing up the appearance too much, I might guess that cartridge might just need to be bumped around a bit to get it broken loose.
But that is pure guess and you don't know till you get there!

Moen guarantees your faucet for life. Just call them with your model number, decribe your problem and they will help you by A) Sending you a new cartridge if it can be replaced; or B) Send you a new faucet for free.
Replacing the cartridge is supposed to be easier than replacing the faucet. We shall see?

OP here, again. I was able to get the bonnet/collar off with a little silicon spray and large channel locks. (See pic) Minimal cosmetic damage. I'll look for the cartridge at HD and clean up the deposits best I can with CLR/vinegar. Put it back together and see what happens.
In reference to possibly switching to a ceramic cartridge, it might work, but I'd rather not take it apart twice if it doesn't. This one got 6 years and if I can get anther 6 I likely won't be sporty around in a class A by that time.

OP here. Just wanted to close the loop and sorry for the delay. I was able to find the cartridge on line, although the first one I ordered was the incorrect (smaller) diameter, but I got it right on the second try.
I was able to clean up the deposits with a combination of CLR & vinegar with the of an old tooth brush and paper towel. Everything went back together easy peezy and not leaks. I know this won't apply to all faucets but I'll include a pic of the cartridge that worked for my RV.

It looks just like the kitchen faucet in my 2017 Adventurer... so, it helped me ( even though I don't have any issues right now).
