Metal Trim 2015 Vista 31KE?

We have a 2015 Vista 31KE and was wondering if anyone has ever replaced the bottom metal trim for plastic. Mine is in good shape with minor rust starting behind the rear wheel well. I think a plastic trim would flow and look much nicer than the metal trim.

Thanks

My first question, were this my MH, would be WHY is it rusting so quickly? IMO, just replacing the metal with plastic is to improve appearance instead of stopping the cause of rusting.
