As it is one of the "added on" parts of the RV, there may be a booklet in the bag of info? That would be one place to look for a troubleshooting section. If not finding what is looking right that way, I move to looking for the exact model number and who made it as there is likely to be a label on the outside door area. with that info, you can usually find a manual or info online that fits exactly which heater you have. One of the DIY tricks to start with is taking a look for anything that might be blocking airflow like wasp nests and then wiggle around on any wire connections that might be getting corroded.
If you have the type which uses 110AC for some of the time, do use care to disconnect from power!!! RV get lots of corrosions on things and they do a lot of shaking so checking connections is sometimes all it takes.
