Need darker day/night shades - paint them ??

Actually I think just more opaque that lets less light in would be best.


Was thinking some kind of spray paint might would work great.

Has anyone painted theirs to make darker - this is for bedroom shades - lots of light when direct sun hits the night part.


ps: I am sure will lose some of the air flow thru them but still air will go around them fine.

We had the same problem and rather than spraying them which would affect the light when its down for privacy in the daytime, we decided to get some silver backed foam sheet and just cut it to shape and slide it up into the valance when needed, keeps it nice and dark when the sun comes up and also reflects heat in the daytime if we are that way facing the sun.
