painting vs decals

hi..many of the decals on my 2001 itasca are peeling off..surface is fiberglass..the area underneath the decals is off color and cleanly defined ..i have been considering masking them and painting directly on the fiberglass or outlining them to make replacements ..any thoughts or advice are appreciated..jim..

We had the same issue, stickers on the sides coming up, peeling, discolored gelcoat, scrathes, nicks, dings. Just repaint the whole thing! Now is a perfect time. We decided to do ours ourselves, here's some pics:

A few questions. Do you have experience doing this? What kind of paint? How did the cost compare to doing it professionally? What special problems are there by doing it outside? Did you do the graphic design yourself?

Fantastic job, Jim. I had the same problem with my 2000 Adventurer 35 U. I took the easy way out and traded up to my Voyage.

We removed the decal graphics and painted them back on using DuPont Automotive paint.....base - clear coat. I've attached pictures....I think....never attached pics before so hope they're here.

We did it in the back yard on windless days. It took two days with two colors of paint.
