Replacement 2017 Ford F-53 Chassis Oil Filler Cap

My oil filler cap is missing and I can't seem to find a replacement. It is for a 2017 Ford F-53 chassis with 6.8L V-10. Ford dealers and Ford Truck outlets show a screw on cap or a quarter turn cap only. This won't work on my engine filler tube which is a smooth plastic tube with a flared end; no threads at all, which is probably why the cap grew legs on my last trip. I doubt that the previous owner changed anything of this sort so I assume that it is stock. I recently visited the Winnebago factory and the parts guy referred me to Ford.

If anyone knows of a similar issue and a cap that works, please advise.

Whatever you do, do not cover the tube with a nitrile glove or anything else other than a filler tube cap. Ask me how I know.

Google search the Ford dealership in Forest City Iowa and call their parts dept. That's where I got replacement cap for my 2015 Winnebago F53. They know how to look it up and get you the right one. I mounted a length of wire to the cap and have it fastened around the neck so that if the cap comes off I don't lose it again. That said since I added the wire strap it has not come off since, LOL.

Powercat: Does your Vista also have a smooth flared end oil filler tube ? Is your cap a friction fit instead of threaded. I like the idea of a safety wire.

I tried the Ford dealer in Forest City after my Winnebago factory visit and they were not able to help me. Might have talked to the wrong person.
