I have a retractable shower door that came standard with my unit. While showering the top rail support of the retractable door fell off. Turns out that the top rail is too short to span the length of the shower stall by about an inch. Same goes for the bottom rail.
I've run this past the dealer to see if I can't get new top and bottom rails and I was told that the lengths are probably going to be the same as what I have now. Not only that but the top rail is $91 and the bottom rail is $50. So, $141 for both rails which may or may not work plus IMO is WAY expensive for a couple pieces of extruded metal.
That being said, I was looking to get some help from the folks here who are creative with jerry-rigging anything RV related. How can I span that gap so that the rails sit inside the saddles and my shower door can slide back and forth correctly? I've attached a photo with what I'm up against.
What I've done in the interim was mount a shower curtain rod with shower curtains. But, would really like to be able to use the retractable shower door as intended.
