there are some 'permanent' roof tape types good for any roof leaks, if caulk is not a good solution.
tape like Eterna bond or such, it is often used for the seams between front and end caps to roof lines - better than caulk - need a roller to push it down in good contact to roof/end caps.
it also can makes good permanent repairs to roof.
not so cheap and be careful, keep the side 'paper' on roll, if you take it off and sit on roof on side it may NOT be possible to remove - that is how strong the adhesive is - not kidding !!
