I know that I read a post on this forum about changing the door post to a new teflon coated one to eliminate the entry door squeak. The post provided the WGO Part #.

I've searched every combination of words I can think of and can't find the post or information - does anyone else remember the post ?

Thanks, Larry

You mean there is something other than 4 wraps of electrical tape on that post? It helped my squeak but if there is a teflon gizmo that would eliminate the noise, I want one too.....

I just found the print out of the post; I think I found it here. I cut/pasted and printed it instead of bookmarking it.

Here's the quote " The sqeak you hear is from the metal door striker. Winnebago has a new teflon coated striker (part no. 128913-01-727). I have received it from the dealer but have not installed it as yet"

The post should be easy to find now, I'll do it and post the link.

Larry

ON EDIT - SORRY, BUT I STILL CAN NOT FIND THE ORIGINAL POST, I GUESS THE PART # WILL HAVE TO DO !

I don't know if the post I read this in is the original but it was posted in the Motorhome Magazine forum.

My 05 Journey came with the old metal door striker. One complaint and it was replaced under warranty with the new teflon one. Later I found out from the service tech that there is a Winnebago TSB for this as well. So anyone with this problem who still has warranty on the coach should be able to get it replaced.

FYI, Winnebagoparts.com (mobility RV) has them in stock, $24.90 plus shipping.

Strange as it may sound, but I suggested this change to the door manufacture two years ago. As you can see, it takes time for good things to happen. Good by electrical tape.

The part number that El Jeffe furnished is correct. My dealer looked it up and ordered some in. Thanks members for another excellant "fix" as someone else said goodbye tape. Tell us how the old one comes out. Good Miles and
