Where is my diagnostic port?

Prior to purchasing a ScangaugeD I went under my dash today to find the plug in diagnostic port that the Scangauge plugs into.
I know what the port looks like in the rear of the coach just above the radiator, with the plastic cover. I was looking for something similar under the dash area and flound nothing.
I searched from the far left to the far right, up and down. There was a tight wire bundle I didnt want to force too much.
Someone with a Journey in the 2002 vintage or so give me a clue?

On the left side of the floor there is a angled, carpeted foot rest. It is held in place with screw. Remove the piece. The diagnostic port is located on the "fire wall" in front of this box. It's in a metal box with a couple of switches for ABS and diagnostic test.

On our 2004 the port is located behind the big bundle of wires on the firewall. Could not see it without moving them.

On mine, the under dash connector looks just like the one in the engine bay. It is high and on the left on the fire wall. By pushing wire bundles and heater ducts around I can see but not reach it from under the dash, and I can reach it but not see it when I take off the instrument panel cover and go down from the top.

It appears they were installed by whomever was on the assembly line that day.
No apparent specific location. Just a general area.
Thanks to all, I now have some locations to look at.
