Winnebago 31KE Power Failure during Leveling

Drove four hours to campsite and went to put stabilizers down and as soon as I hit the auto level button and system engage the whole RV shut down. I mean everything.....killed the motor. now I have to use house battery assist to start the coach. Any suggestions? The coach is level but always like to have jacks down. Afraid to put slides out so right now we are kind van campers.
any help would be appreciated.

Hi John,
It sounds like your Motorhome's engine starting battery has gone bad. Can you get a voltage on it?

P.S. Please tell us the year and model name of your 31KE

The 31KE sounds like it might be a Vista but it may be important to get the right RV sorted as there are actually several different builds, even in the same year! I took a look at the 2015 as an example and there are THREE for that year!
Then there may be some details that confuse us?

When you say the whole RV shut down and the motor stopped, what motor? Do you mean the RV engine/motor was running and then died? Or do you mean the motor on the jacks was running and quit?
I'm confused when you say all the RV quit but then use the house battery to start the engine???

My first thought would be a simple corrosion/dirty cable on the chassis battery system but some of the details leave doubt!
If you had the RV engine running while using the jacks, a bad battery or bad connection would likely not stop the jacks as the alternator would still power them.

If you can give the year, make, like Vista and floorplan (31KE?) it will be a big help. But if you take a minute to look at the label next to the driver's side for the serial number, the 7th digit will tell us when it was built! Should be a 1,2, or 3 and that is all we need to look at the correct drawings for lots of info on how it is built! Be aware and look at the serial number, not VIN!
But that is where we need more details on what was going on and what RV?

I currently DO NOT have one!

John, it will not harm the slides to extend them when the coach is level, regardless of leveling system operation.

I agree; Winnebago wires the leveling system to the chassis starting battery bank intentionally JIC the coach battery bank is depleted when dry-camping.
There's another possibility, if there's a heavy fuse in the coach battery cabling, it might have opened.
