Adding Additional Solar Panels to 2017 View

My 2017 View 24J has one solar panel on roof. Can I add an additional one to the connector on the roof? Is additional hardware needed?

Assuming you have the usual Zamp 3-port connector on your roof you can add up to two more panels. Zamp panels come with SAE connectors that plug right in. Other brand panels come with a more standard Mc4 connector. If you buy another cheaper brand panel you would need to change the connector or buy an adapter.

Zamp are great panels but cost 3 to 4 times as much as other brands.

I did this on my 2017 Adventurer and it works great.

You probably have another SAE connector on the outside of your View somewhere to connect a portable solar panel as well.

Here's a good YouTube video of an install on a View/Navion: https://youtu.be/SxKsAsErwbw

I'm using this to install a new 100 W panel on my Navion. Zamp panels are about 3-4X more expensive than generic panels. Home Depot is a good source and so is Amazon. I've ordered my panel and the associated parts from Amazon.
