Aux Battery On/Off switch 2002 Adventurer 35U

I have a 2002 Winnebago Adventurer model 35-u. I seem to be having trouble with the Aux Battery switch located in the entry stairwell. This switch is labeled On and Off so I am assuming when placed in either position it should stay there correct? For some reason mine doesn't; it simply returns to "neutral". (perhaps this is normal) I have checked all of the circuit breakers and fuses that I know of to check and cannot find anything amiss. Has anyone else got any experience with this? Can this switch be easily replaced? (I some, not much, but some experience doing such things)

That's where things get tricky and easy to miss a point. The switch is actually a momentary switch meaning it only stays closed as long as we hold the switch! Yes, what you see is normal!
This is due to it not being the part which actually makes the contact to control the power but the switch actually controls a second part which is the "battery disconnect relay"! That relay is also a bit different in that it is a "latching relay which has a magnetic gizmo built in that holds it "latched" in whatever was the last position.
This design is good as a way to avoid using more battery than necessary when we camp. Power is used to move the relay and then power use stops when we release the switch but the relay is still held engaged or disengaged without continuing to use battery power!
So what is the current problem? Is it that the RV has lost most of the normal 12VDC functions, like lights, vents, and water pump?

If that is true, you are likely close to the problems in looking at the switch and relay but if battery power has been lost like in changing batteries, we can get mislead if not careful.

Since this relay latches in it's last position, if we remove power to move it, we can think it is turned on but if there is no power, moving the switch doesn't move the relay!
Get power first, THEN toggle the momentary switch to get it to move the relay to close or engage power!

Sheet one of this drawing shows this relay.

This chart for the wire ID placed on small wires and used on the drawing can help to "decode" the labels on small wires and also adds some idea of what each wire goes "from" and "to". That often leads to spotting power or grounds input to things.

In this case wire Wire LG is "engage" and LH is "disengage"! LG closes the relay while LH opens the path! That power comes to the relay on LJ.
Coach battery comes to the mode solenoid, then on to the relay. If the relay is closed power passes through to the right side and on to most of the fuses for the RV and the generator starter solenoid.
One point often missed is that there is a wire GJ that feeds power to a 6 amp fuse and does not go through the battery cutoff but goes direct. That is the safety items which are left powered ---even when we turn the disconnect off!
They can run the battery down while stored if we are not watching!

Winnebago uses a momentary switch to control the open/closed solenoid, It returns to center after pushing either end.
I can easily hear my solenoid (BIRD) operating after I push either end of the rocker switch.
