Battery type setting for Zamp solar controller

I need to set the battery type on my Zamp solar controller. I have two NAPA 8231 batteries. My owners manual implies they are AGM batteries because that is all the battery section talks about, and the default battery type setting for the ZAMP is AGM. The local NAPA store assures me the 8231's are NOT AGM, and I can see that the batteries can be opened and checked for water level.

That leaves me thinking that I should set the battery type as Wet.
Is that right?
Thanks

I am thinking about purchasing a Porto as my first RV. How do you like yours?

We just picked it up a week ago and are still trying everything out. I've never had an RV before so I don't have much to compare it with, but I like it so far. It is an entry level RV, but that is fine for us.
We got the 24F because the setup works better for us than the 24P and other RV's we looked at. Everything is accessible with the slideout still in which is great. I would like to have gotten the upgraded Mercedes chassis package that comes with the 24P, but the deal we got on our 24F and the better layout was too good to pass up.
It drives well and is roomy. I've never had a diesel vehicle before so that is something different for me, and I'm a little concerned about finding Mercedes service centers when crossing parts of the country during my warranty period, but that could be true for other models as well.
The Porto has good towing and weight capacity for its size and drives well and I imagine the driver assist package on the upgraded Mercedes chassis makes that even better.
It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the similar but more expensive Winnebago class C's but the bones are the same as the more expensive models as far as I can tell, so I think it is a good choice for a starter RV.
Good luck with your choice.

Just keep on top of the required annual A or B services. Which will be a dealer project. And which were my Tipping point in my deciding not to spend the big bucks for MPG bragging rights. We buy the extra gas instead, and don't have as cool a rig, but not requiring as much TLC. I know we won't do extensive travel, and so paying a lot of money w/o many miles just stuck in my throat. (Something about Depression era parents perhaps?)

That’s a good point. I am going to put lots of miles on my Porto so I’m hoping the fuel savings will offset maintenance costs and headaches. Time will tell.
