My 2006 Journey 39K has a CB antenna on the roof but no CB was installed in the unit. Does anyone know where the end of cable may be located under the dash?
thanks for any input

Hoop98,
Welcome to the Winnie forum.
Assuming your CB antenna is above the driver's seat, the cable comes down the post on the left of the windshield. The factory wraps the coax connector and the -12v DC wiring in plastic and sticks it behind the dash somewhere on the left of the steering wheel. You'll need to be double-jointed and use a light to find it.
It's there somewhere.

Ah, my favorite topic! Since at least 2001 they have had a chap on the production line that has the job of hiding this and he is very good at it. In my 2008 they quit the antenna but, alledgedly, have the power wires hidden there and marked. Have yet to find them. There have been a zillion posts about this yet Winnie won't put the darn thing where they can be found (and it would cost them nothing to do so).
Other than that, I love Winnie! Good luck on your serach! And welcome here...lot of great folks that post here. Steve

He must have been feeling nice the day he wrapped mine. The bag was tucked nicely under the left side foot rest block.

Since I weigh 330lbs and have bad knees, I am not agile enough to use the drivers door.
But it sure worked very well to find the CB harness and install the CB. Standing on the ground sure beat being a contortionist...
Good Miles.

Yeah, that works for those of us who have a driver's door. The DP guys have a problem.

well, after much huffing and puffing i found the baggie with wires. i also am 6'2" and two hundred and too many pounds and i don't think contortionist is the correct term. I guess the factory guy was having a bad day on my coach also as it was buried behind that massive wiring harness on the left side of wheel. but got the CB installed and all works.
thanks to all who helped with this.

I heard that! I had forgotten about how easy it was to get under the dash with the door. I'm skinny enuf to get under there now but it takes me awhile to straighten out once I stand up again.. Sometimes days..

The Itasca had a door, the 35J doesn't and I miss it especially for this reason. My solution is to send my daughter. She can't find it either .

I found our cb wires by finding the antenna wire that comes down in the corner from the roof first! I was then able to pull on that and get the rest of it including the bag and power wire with it to come out into view. The antenna wire is the thickest individual wire you will see under there and is easy to find, it's the end of it that is well hidden. Good Luck!

That guy is good, I'm still looking in my 07 sunrise 35L. I found the wires that go to a brake controler. I not going to use it for a CB but I would like to use it to power my 2m rig.

i just happened to see a bit of the "bag" behind the wiring harness. it was on floor down low. it really is a bag, just a baggie that was pulled tight and taped shut. look for a baggie glimsp rather whole thing.

should be in a plastic bag next to the steering shaft. That is where mine was on our 04 Journey.

I bought my vectra new last May....been looking ever since. The only place I have not looked is behind the foot rest on the left drivers floor. When we take off in weeks for warmer weather I will continue the "where's waldo" game while in Florida.........

Reguarding this CB antenna cable issue. I found my cable last year and posted problems with feed back from my CB coming through my sterio when I key up my Micophone. I used a SWR Meter and calabrated the CB but still got alot of feed back and also installed a CB filter. I think Winnabago and freightliner wiring is tied to the surround sound. I installed a new CB antenna and cable on my ladder rack and a 12 Volt plug for my cigarette lighter ( no longer have feed back). The reason I am posting this is that I see everyone on this post going crazy trying to find the CB cable. And after you find it you may have feed back problems and may just wont to run a new cable and a 12 volt plug. I have a 01 journey not saying it could happen to you maybe winnabago fixed the problem on the newer models just wonted to let every one know my problem. Ron

If Winnebago felt it necessary to use a baggie in the first place,(can't see a good reason for the baggie). At least they could have used a bright yellow one making it easier to find. I looked a couple of days to find mine.

I don't care what color it is. At least it's a baggie rather than all bunched up under the dash. That really would have made it an interesting extraction.

To locate the CB cable pull the cover from the driver's side windshield pillar. The coaxial cable goes from the roof, down the pillar and under the dash.
