I turned off the generator and lost all power to the coach including the ability to start the generator. The switch to turn on and off the coach is not working. I removed the passenger seat and jumped around the switch solenoid. That got the power back on.
I've checked for any breakers that might be out- found nothing. Is there a breaker I'm not seeing? Should I look to replace the solenoid or switch or both.
I did get advise from someone who seems to be knowledgeable that the solenoids almost never fail and it should be the switch.
Any advise is welcome!
You have a newer MH than me but the last time I lost the ability to use the 12 volt system on my Winnebago it was the coach battery disconnect switch on the dashboard. It was a 6 blade (if I remember) switch on the back and I ordered a replacement from a dealer but the part was available from NAPA or O'Reilly's.
Your right, solenoids rarely fail. Maybe after 10,000 cycles or so and given yours is 7 years old that would not be the first part I would suspect.

It might be the solenoid. Bridging around it worked?
Try an internet search on "battery disconnect solenoid", and see how often they fail. There's more than a few hits out there.
The most recommended replacements are made by Cole Hersee, IIRC.
