Dash Switch

Hi,

I have a 2000 Itasca Horizon 36LD. There is a switch in the upper right corner of the dash beside all the gauge lights with no label indicating what it is for. I can see the switch in my user's manual picture of the dash but it does not say anything about it. It doesn't stay down when pressing and releasing it... I have to hold it down.

Anyone has such a switch and knows what it is for?

Thanks for your help.

Sounds like a battery boost switch, connects coach batteries to starter if chassis battery goes down.

I have the same dash and switch, it's not the battery boost. I knew at one time but can't remember now. I wonder if it's something to do with resetting the trip odometer??

Pretty sure it's the switch that changes your odo readout from miles to kilometers.

Check and see if when pressed, it's on or off. If on, it could be for horn, flash high beams, battery boost. If it switches off depressed, it might flash ICC lights.

This might apply:

The MC is equipped with a speedometer and a tachometer. A digital odometer display is located in the speed- ometer and a digital trip odometer display is located in the tachometer.
Both odometers can display either English or metric values (miles or kilometers). A trip reset switch is located on the lower right corner of the dash panel. If the switch is depressed for more than 4 seconds, both displays will cycle between English and metric. At the left sides of the odometer displays, a triangle will point to either an "m" or a "k," depending on which scale is selected.
To reset the trip odometer, depress the switch for less than 4 seconds. The odometer resets to either 0 miles or 0 kilometers. The display indicates in 1/10 (mile or kilometer) increments, depending on the scale selected.

On our Vectra, there is a switch like that at the bottom of the instrument cluster that changes the odometer readout from MILES to KILOMETERS. Then from kilometers to miles. Etc. \ken

Get the phone number from your owners manual and call Winnebago's customer service helpline; ask them and remove all doubt.
