Ditto. However.... and this is a big however. If you're looking at a used coach that has the Winegard ASC 2003 dish... be aware that this dish is both now obsolete with no parts available... and, a piece of, er, garbage to begin with... IMHO. How one company can go from making the worst product on the market to one of the best is beyond me but they did when they introduced the SK 3005 HD system. I replaced my ASC 2003 with the SK 3005 over a year ago now and couldn't be happier with it... and we full time and have used it in 30 states now.

Is there a model # on the unit itself? Or can you tell by the design

Is it a dome? Might be some kind of name on it. It is really a PIA when the paperwork isn't with your coach when you buy it.
Ours is a Winegard LP1000 LP meaning it is low profile. It's flat instead of dome shaped. For them if you switch to Dish network as ours was when we bought it, DIP switches need to be changed inside the unit. We went with Directv so the dealer changed them back. Directv is the factory setting though. Found Dish receiver instructions in the paperwork is how we knew. The LP1000 is no longer made. Why I don't know. If you can determine the brand and model I bet we can find a manual for it.
Only issue we have had is that it is a little noisy when the gyros are spinning. When parked after it is done doing it's thing I can shut it off so it quits looking for a better signal.

On 7/19/05 I had a Winegard Movin' View MV3500A installed to replace my manual antenna. The newer unit is an auto system, but not while moving. Winegard made an offer I couldn't refuse at GNR (~$800 as I recall). Had an LNB problem and R&R'd under warranty. 12 volt system, which I like. Domed unit, which causes some problems in heavy dew (pixilation/signal loss). Occasionally cantankerous in finding the Sat. But my previous manual antennas wiggled when windy (no dome), causing intermittent reception. Did NOT like this anomaly. Overall, I'm a happy camper.

Thanks for all the input, the coach I am looking at has a model #AS2053, looks like the one I have now but it seeks the signal automatically I have the crank up style and it works great. I just don't like surprises.

If the actual model is a Winegard AS-2003, it is one of the worst automatic satellites made. This satellite has software that can not be updated. We use Direct TV and with this dish it would work sometimes well, and then other times it would not lock on after a hour or more of searching. I was told that this problem of locking on to the right satellite was due to newer satellites being put in orbit that serve to confuse the software that it uses to lock on. My AS-2003 dish also flopped around in the wind quite a bit. I finally gave up on it this year and installed a new Winegard Traveler this spring. It has been a great product. Wish I had switched over sooner.

IF it works it won't work on Direct HD. Direct HD requires a 3 LNB dish and 2 of the LNBs pick up the KA band. The new Winegard SK3500 will get Direct HD.

Like Clay said, we have a King Dome in-motion and it works fine with DirecTV but it won't give us HD. To get HD I have to go to Dish Network which uses a different system.
