Driver's map light
I hate to say it but we have had our coach for two years and I can't find a switch that turns on the map/reading light above the driver's seat. There is a switch by the copilot seat for that side but none for the driver. I have checked the bulb and that is good. Any idea's? Coach is a 06 Meridian 36g

As rebelcarm said that's also how mine work, the headlight switch. I have to turn my switch to the left for them to work. I had a heck of time trying to figure it out too. Both my lights are controlled by this switch, plus you have the switch on the light itself if yours is like mine. Here is a pic of mine.

Same here and be sure not to leave it on. It will drain the battery.

Just like the "dome light" in many autos, the "drivers side map/reading light" in many coaches turns ON/OFF by rotating the headlight switch.

I added a switch that is easy to reach when the driver's seat is turned around. Just put the switch in the plastic trim and take it to ground. Now while we are parked the light is usable.
Good luck,
Dave

You guys are right. The dash dimmer knob controls my light. I wonder who came up with that idea! I guess a plain on/off switch would be to easy. Thanks, at least now I can turn it on.

That's the way most US cars used to work to turn on the dome light!

The crazy thing about this set up is that the passenger's map light is a simple on-off switch on the door.
