As noted in my signature I have a 40FD 2005 Vectra. The drivers side map light which normally would light for reading from the dimmer switch next to the headlight switch is not working. I have checked the bulb and it is good. Does anyone know which chassis fuse might be connected to this light? I see no label for it in the chassis fuse box.

As crazy as this may sound, I had the same problem with my Itasca, took it to a dealer and they did not know what the problem was, called Winnebago and they said the light only works with the ignition key turned to on.
Fixed my problem!

On our Suncruiser the light works with the dimmer switch when the ignition is "Off."

I just verified that mine works with the ignition off. According to the wiring diagram Front End Wiring Installation the wire for that light runs down to the left front compartment where the chassis 12V circuits are. According to the diagram there seems to be a relay labeled 'DOME LIGHT', but I didn't trace things out any further to see how things are actually wired up.

We have a 2004 Journey ...
Ours works by twisting the headlight knob regardless of whether the ignition is ON or OFF ...
And besides ... I needed a reason to post to see how this new softward works ...
- Fonts,
- colors,
- lots of bells and whistles

The dome light does not have a switch up by the light. To make things even worse, further checking indicates that the DRL, headlights, marker lights, fog lights and instrument panel lights are also not working. All fuses and breakers have been checked and are good. Checked the wiring to the headlight switch and am not reading any voltage to the switch. Diagnostics continue! Any help is appreciated.

NO1RAINH20, I've been in this compartment behind the circuit breakers (left front compartment) several times and have not seen a light control module, can you be more specific about it's location and what it might look like?

It and the smart wheel controller both are mounted on the back wall of that compartment behind the breakes and the mass of wires in there, the controler is marked light control module and is about 4" x 3" x 1 1/2"

NO1RAINH20, Thanks for the info, I went back in the electrical compartment yesterday. Found the light module and checked all the connections. They appeared Okay, but I wiggled them and made sure they were tight. To my surprise after I finished all the lights work again.

Hi,
We have a 08 Winnebago Voyage. The light on our ford is controlled by a switch on the dash. Same thing happened. Then we figured out that the engine battery powers that light not the house batteries. It went out after we had been at a site in AZ for 2 months. I installed a Trik-l-Charge device to charge the engine battery from the house batteries and cured that problem. Also found when I went to move the rv that I could not get the jacks to lift. Called Winnebago and found that the computer on the jack panel had to be reset after the engine battery lost charge. Was instructed to uscrew the panel, unplug the three wires to the jack control panel, wait 5 min, replug and go. It worked.
Hope this helps
