Hi Folks: Another issue popped up - our engine batteries were totally discharged after being parked for 3 months on shore power. I thought that once hooked up to 120V, the system charged the engine as well as the coach batteries. It appears that is not the case. I have read all the pertinent manuals and can find no answer. Any suggestions? THANKS AGAIN for all your help.

If your Journey is like my '98 Vectra, the engine batteries are not charged when hooked to shore power. I put a Trik-L-Charger on my motorhome to solve this problem. Newer Winnebagos have the Trik-L-Charger installed. It is pretty simple to hook up and there are threads here that discuss this issue and how to connect the charger.
