The actuall installation of the side cameras only took a couple of hours. The time consuming thiong was getting them painted to match the coach.
I picked up an air brush from Harbor Freight for about $5 and a pint of paint color and clear from a Sherwin Williams Auto Paint store. Using the air take off from the moho I sprayed the camera covers - 2 coats of color adn 2 coats of clear.

Yes and I finally did it right after I re-read the instructions provided by Bob.

Air brushing the camera housing! Oh man, now I'm not feeling well - I can see the brush strokes in my paint job. I wonder if Tim at rvcams can sell me a new shell
Good show Adrian!

Can you list the part numbers that you had to purchase to both the cameras?
I pick up my new Journey on Monday which has the b/w monitor with speaker option. It has an input to add another a/v source, which I could then activate via the a/v 2 button on the monitor.
I am wondering if that would allow me to add just one camera, which I would put on the passenger side and turn it on via the button when ever I wanted to without using the turn signal.
I got an estimate of the price of all of the parts to buy the system to have both cameras and activate it via the turn signal. Pretty expensive due to having to replace the monitor in the cab to the version that has the three inputs.

John - the touch up paint you received with your coach will be more than enough. I would not have bought more paint except that I needed to paint a modification I made to one of the storage bin doors
Do you need an air brush?
CWHTRAINS - I do not remember what the part numbers are but if you call or drop an email to Tim at RVCams.com and he will be able to tell you exactly what you need. It sounds like you have the same monitor I had. I wanted both side cameras and a tilting rear camera. Actually I wanted a color system but the monitor just would not fit nicely in the BW hole in the dash.

Adrian - just looked at your camera and it is different than the one I got from Tim. Is your cam a Sony?

You guys have black and white monitors?
My 2004 Adventurer has a color Sony. I think Itasca Suncruisers got color a year sooner.
Have they gone back to black and white? Away from Sony maybe? I like mine, much wider angle and sharper than my mom's black and white setup in her '99 Adventurer.
Hmmm...

On the 2006 Journey the standard monitor is black and white with sound, the color one is optional.

Adrian,
AWESOME JOB
Looks fantastic!!. I'm sure others will want to do the same. It looks as though your curbside camera is in the door!. How did you fish the wires through to that location?

John,
The side cameras are Voyager I believe. They look just like the Voyager color side cameras I first got only BW.
Tracy,
I took the inside door panel off and drilled a hole the size of the wire in the side of the panel right at the door itself. I brought the wire out at the same level as the floor (top step), left a small loop, and ran the wire under the dash right at floor level. The hardest part was fishing the wire over to the monitor. I was not able to take my dash off the way John did on his installation. I took the FRS radio box out and fished the camera wire over with a coat hanger. The rest was a piece of cake.
