generater only?

I wondering if there is a way to run power from the generator only? Basically, run the generator separately from the pedestal power (while still using the pedestal power inside) for using tools, compressor, etc outside the motor home.
TIA

Look on your generator, you might have an outlet already. If not, you can install one.

Not that easy. When you start the generator the transfer switch will automatically shift to the general power. Will require some wiring changes and additions to make it work.

It is possible to do that.

But you will have to do some changes to wiring.
Unhook it from the transfer box inside the MH.
Install plugins near the generator.
Make a way to get power back inside the MH if later you want to run some appliances in it.

I was afraid it might take some rewiring but was kinda hoping there would be a bypass switch somewhere between the Gen and the transfer .

Why not use the other outlets in the pedestal?

Or one of the outlets in one of your compartments.
