Generator shutting down

I have an 08 Itasca Sunova. The generator starts fine and runs about 30 minutes then shuts down. I am thinking it may be a faulty fuel pump.Any suggestions out there?
Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

Might be overheating or low oil level as well.

Mine was the fuel pump last year. If its an Onan , it will put out a code. My code was 36. There have been numerous fuel pump failures during the summer months.

Common symptom of fuel pump failure is that the gen will run for about 20 minutes or so; then start surging for a few seconds on the ramining fuel in the bowl and then sputter off.

In very hot weather, some brands of oil might foam after running for a half hour, causing the oil pressure switch to shut the rig down.

Yep! this was exactly what was wrong with my onan Marquis 5500. Would run for 20-30 minutes and shut down. A new fuel pump was installed and now she runs and runs and runs....
