What is the state of charge of your house batteries? Your generator starts using the house batteries, if they are discharged, your generator isn't going to turn over.

Might want to create a signature line and tell us the year and model coach you have.

Michael,

Do you have 12 volts to the starter? You would need a meter to measure this. Also, as Roger has stated, it would be nice to know what year and model you have. Sometimes certain years and models are prone to a particular issue and someone here may be able to save you some troubleshooting time.

Michael,

I am assuming that you have the Onan 7500 quiet generator as that is what comes up when I look at 2003 Journey DLs online. Some online posts that I've been able to find from those with a similar issue actually have codes that flash. I am not familiar with this particular generator so don't know where to look for those readouts. It looks like if you have to replace the starter itself, it's not terribly expensive if you do it yourself. I'm seeing starters as low as about $35. However, some comments in various YouTube videos state that the starter on a 7500 quiet generator is bit more difficult. If you have proper voltage at the hot wire at the starter itself, then my guess would be the starter assembly. I don't think these things have a separate starter solenoid to check. I wish I could be more help but that is what I've found online. Good luck!

generator

I checked everything I could think of. .unplugged the
Wire harness and the switch on the dash...plugged it all back. ...it works perfectly.
Must have been a power surge when power went out and it re - booted itself. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Oh yea...forgot to mention the CTL-ALT-DEL option! Glad it's working for you again!
