Here's an online store that carries them, the shipping might be a deal killer though.

Scott- wherever you are, you should be able to find an actual battery store. Most places that carry batteries can order group 31 size but don't carry them stock as they won't sell too many, and those who have batteries as a side line probably only have one wholesaler. A real battery store will have more than one source and be able to give you options. I was in one in Vegas that had group 31 AGM (maybe only one) on the shelf which is a true oddball.

Frequently I find that a small retailer will sell in-stock stuff at a great price to move it & recycle the inventory dollars, but wants full retail on special order junque even tho (if prepaid) there is no risk and no money tied up in inventory; the only down side is if you needed to return something he normally doesn't handle for warranty. I expect non-stock orders (whether I'm making then or taking them) to be pre-paid w/out return-on-whim privileges. If you order 31's w/this understanding (prepaid & if they work then they are yours regardless of whether you like the color, found a better deal, blah, blah, blah), you may find a retailer that recognizes the opportunity and will give you a good deal.

I'm not sure what brand your interested in but I bought some group 31 Interstates from Camping World. If interstates aren't to your liking you can go to the website of the brand you want and find the closest distributor to where you are. Don't rule out marine supply stores.

What about EverStart Maxx 29?

These are Group 29 but should fit 125 Amp Hour Rating. Does anyone use these?

I bought six through my golf cart guy for my GEM car. He is an electrical whiz kid who grew up with g carts and batteries. He has some interesting stories to tell about the different companies and their battery prices. Basicly most batts are made by a handful of companies and there are differences but not nearly enough to warrant the price differences. I paid about $71 for each Group 31 deep cycle batt. He orders what people request but over time he has learned that most of the same group batteries perform about the same. Other than safety, (In a roll over), and mantainance free he sees no need for AGM's or Gel's. Both require specific chargers and will perform below par if they are charged to the same schedule as wet batts and their cost are way over wet battery prices. It's similar to American washing machines and dryers which are made by three companies with many different names on them. If you really want to learn about batteries go to a NEV or GEM car web site because they have tried them all. There ain't no mystery to 'em.

check BD batteries for LIFELINE AGM batteries. their prices include shipping and they NEVER need servicing with water.

My original 7 year old Interstates are on their last leg. How difficult is it to replace the 2 12V with 2 6V golf cart batteries?

I replaced mine with G29 because they are available everywhere (Walmart). Can't tell the difference.

The problem with Lifeline is they are not capable of taking the 15 volt conditioning mode put out by the inverter/charger.

I much prefer GC-2 pairs over G-31 pairs (About the same capacity, though the G-31 pair is a few amp hours bigger)

When I bought my batteries a year ago I compared various group 31's to group 29's and decided the price difference didn't warrent the small increase in capacity when looking at the 20 hour rate. I ended up selecting the Everstart Maxx group 29's which had only about 10 minutes per battery less than the group 31's which I couldn't get without special ordering.

Any of you who are thinking about getting AGM or Gel batteries should have your charging voltage checked before yuo install them. Both of these batteries are designed to be charged at a reduced rate to prevent boiling of the electrolite. If they are charged too rapidly they can explode because they are sealed. Even if they don't explode the electrolite can be boiled out of the gel and then the battery is damaged. If a vehicle came with these batteries then there should be no problem but some of our MH's have higher charge rates through the house charger than a vehicle alternator. Just saying....
