I feel like Roseanne Roseannadanna

If it isn't one thing, it's another....

Had my transfer switch changed out last week and all seemed ok with the testing. Today, I went out to the RV to install my new converter and wanted a little more space in the kitchen area to work in... Pushed the slideout button and nothing... None of my slideouts are working. I checked all fuses I could find, house battery voltage etc. My only idea is that the transfer switch was wired backwards and no voltage is getting through even with the generator on. What else can I check?

Any other thoughts or suggestions please!!

I think my slides operate off my engine battery.

My slides require the engine to be running or at least the key on accessory.

And mine require engine off and keys in off position. Each manufacturer is different it seems. To the OP, are the slides the only thing failing or have you lost 12 volts to other areas?

Only slides so far.... It's in a storage yard right now but I am going to check on the parking brake possibility tomorrow... Hope it was only the stupid switch engaged in me..

My slides quit suddenly also. Was camping, went to leave and pull in the slides and poof they would not work. Checked out fuses and everything...even the parking break. I finally pushed my house battery switch off/on and then went to my leveling jacks...worked my jacks a second. They worked for me. An then suddenly I had working slides again. Got home had the same issue all over again. No idea what happened. Interment issues? Have no idea. There is also a "plug" on the side of the HWH control box...under the RV. This may be the issue also...see if the plug is loose. Wiggle it some. Push it into it's plug hole again. Looking at my HWH booklet info...it could also be the circuit board on the control box...gee hope not. Those things are not a cheap replacement item.
We you all figure this out let us know...some of us also have the same thing happen to us. Be good to know!

On ours, the parking brake must be set, engine should be running but not required if batteries are fully charged , slide lock disengaged and the safety key in on position. Our slides would not work one time and found that the parking brake was not set enough, I had just pushed it in a little but apparently not enough to hit the micro switch.

It's bad enough having the coach against you. But self inflicted! But on the upside, congratulations!

We are hitting the road as full timers in December so am overwhelmed with getting ready. I guess overlooking the obvious is just part of the stress.

Thanks for all the feedback and suggestions.

My dogs did that to me last month. They jump around the drivers seat and one must have stepped on the parking brake button. We were up on the levelers so it wasn't an issue, until we went to leave.... Took 20 nerve racking minutes to figure it out.

Now you know why I suggested it. I actually called a dealer one time! Good job and have a great day!
