I have the Winguard Satellite System in my 2005 Aspect. I've tried to hook up a Dish Network receiver but have had little luck finding a satellite connection. The receiver indicates it can't find a transponder eventhough I have the correct Azmuth and elevation numbers plugged in. Has anyone had any experience with this satellite system either good or bad?

Go up and down 20 degrees from the recommended az and deflection. Go slowly and be patient. You'll find it eventually. It took me about a dozen setups before I figured it out. A good stiff drink during the process helps too. I have Direct Tv but it should be the same

There's an excellent tutorial post over in the Technologies section of this forum on setting up a Dish receiver/satellite system. You can find it here. I'm also in the middle of setting up a Dish system and it answered a lot of questions I had. Good luck!

On my Winguard Sat. Sys. there were DIP SW.
that had to be set, depending on which Sat.
Sys. you were trying to lock onto.....Tenn.

Thanks for the info. However, not sure what his abreviation NLB stands for. Also, how does one adjust the skew on a roof mounted Wineguard system?

How are you cabled into the TV from outside to inside? If you are using the cable TV connection, it WILL NOT WORK. There is a capacitor in series which will block the voltage necessary to drive the horn. You must connect directly to the sat receiver.

The cable connection is on the outside, I believe in the same compartment as the electrical hook up. The connection from the SAT to the receiver and separate connection from the receiver to the TV is inside the coach.

I think he means LNB - Low-Noise Block Converter. It's the part of the satellite dish in the middle of the dish on the end of the arm. NLB may have been a typo.
