I'm not convinced the fuel pump is OK. How long did you run it into a bucket? Probably not as long as it runs before stalling.

Mine was doing this same kind of thing and I replaced the carburetor before finally replacing the fuel pump and not having any issues since.

The fuel pump is cheaper and easier to replace than the carb and seems a more likely candidate for the problems you're describing.
