Team,
Just bought my 2nd Itasca, this one has remote lock feature for the door but it isn’t working with wireless or wired buttons. When I trigger the lock/unlock I can hear a noise in the front breaker box, I assume that is a relay.
2004 Itasca Meridian. Yeah, the cleaning of brass connections seems like is the same issue causing my air horn to fail. Recommendation on how to clean? Wire brush?
For door locks, any thoughts on what connections are easiest to start cleaning?
There are a couple of spring loaded brass buttons on the hinge side of the door and jamb that pass electricity through to the power door lock. You should be able to clean them with a pencil eraser.
Thanks. That seemed to help. Now when I use the wireless remote I can hear a relay near the instrument panel make noise and then it turns on the passenger reading light but doesn’t actuate the lock. When using the wired buttons, nothing happens.
Hey team, my wife mentioned that the manual keyed lock is tough to move. My guess is this may be related to the power locks not working. Actuator stuck? Other ideas or places to start?
