Speedometer tach cluster

Does anyone know what the button sensor is at the top of the instruments gauges. It is mounted at the top of the arched cover over the instruments, and has a small bulb under the cover, and has a tiny wire that runs behind the dash to who knows where.

Sounds like an indicator for when the brakes are applied to the Toad. Thats what mine does.
