Xantrex 1000 inverter 2017 SunstarLX 27

Hello, we are owners of a "new to us" 2017 Sunstar 27LX. It has the Xantrex 1000 watt inverter. Does the inverter power all the 110 receptacles?? hoping to run the fridge on the inverter while traveling. Thanks for taking the time to read and pass along your knowledge. We are in major overload figuring out this rig and all it offers.

There are two builds of that year and model RV, so to get the correct drawing we need to know if the serial number, 7th digit is 1 for early or 2 for later year build.

With that info, you can go to the drawing here:
https://www.winnebago.com/Files/File...ram/Wiring.htm

Find your way to the :
Body, 110 Volt Wiring Installation/Diagram

That will give you a "road map" of where the 110 AC wiring goes and perhaps you can locate where the frig is connected?

But from a practical stand point, I'm doubting it works that way as it would be so awkward.
To run the frig on 110Ac, we would need to use 12Volt power from batteries to make the AC with the inverter. If we assume the frig also operates on propane or 12VDC, it is much more direct to just use one of those?
But depends on frig!

No the fridge will not run on the 1,000W inverter. I have a Xantrex 2,000W inverter and it is not wired to the fridge outlet because of excessive current draw. It is wired to all other outlets in the MH though.

When the inverter is making an output of 10 amps @ 120VAC, it is drawing 100amps DC from the batteries, or 10X the AC current draw.

I have a 2015 27N. The inverter is wired in-line with part of ONE of the two 15 A circuits that feed all the receptacles in your 27N. Only a few of the outlets in my 27N were on the inverter.

The best thing to do is to plug an outlet checker into your outlets when not on shore power and with Inverter ON and see exactly what has power on your specific year and model.

Yup, the handiest tool to have in your toolbox is a non-contact voltage tester, less than $10 from Amazon.

A 1000w inverter is not powerful enough to run many AC loads. It is likely that you can power the TVs, VCR, Satellite Receiver, CPAP, electric lamps, phone and computer chargers but not much else. Not all at once mind you, just a few at the same time.

Coffee makers, toaster ovens, space heaters, irons, even hair dryers could be problematic. Just look at the labels and see if they are rated to use more than 950 watts. Most of them do.

Any device that produces heat via electrical resistance is likely too big a load for a 1000w inverter.

Here is a handy guide! If it has two stars, it is powered by the inverter.

This is for a 2014, so there might be slight variances. For example, some owners report that the is no inverter power to the plug under the salon TV. Probably too many people tried to plug a heater in there...

I hope this helps!
