Talking 1998 winnebago Brave

hey guys,I recently bought a 1998 Brave the coach air conditioner works great on shore power,But when switched to the generator the ac and generator starts surging and the generator cuts off,Any ideas?

My first thought is a dirty carb on the gen. This will cause the problem you describe.

Try moving the altitude lever to see if that helps. Sometimes that will clean the needle.

Mine was doing the same thing and it was a dirty air filter.
